I got home from Europe
just in time for my brother's 17th birthday and then 4 days later was off
again on my way to Alaska (the last frontier). WOW... WOW, that is
what is in my mind when I think of Alaska. It is damn near the most
beautiful place I have ever been. Beautiful mountains, beautiful
rivers, beautiful ocean, beautiful/delicious salmon, fun times, great
people, incredible views in every direction, wilderness everywhere you
turn... and tennis on one of the most beautiful backdrops I can
imagine! What, you might ask, was I doing in Alaska. Well....
working (mowing lawns... yes! they have lawns in Alaska!!!), fishing for
reds every chance I got, camping on islands (winning the 4th of July
games, Viva LaTouche!) and in the highlands at lost lake, watching movies
on the big screen (and I don't mean at the movie theater), drinking some
of the best beer and eating fresh caught (by us) salmon, and really just
having the time of my life.... wishing the whole time that I had my skis
with me, oops! haha See for yourself how beautiful and amazing this
place is... I know I plan on going back (NEXT SUMMER!!) |
